Hi. Please re-test Download WinRAR 6.02 Final [Portable] – (8.6 Mb). It’s downloaded as an .exe (not RAR) and it lit up as a Xmas tree that it contains malware unlike the NONportable version (which is fine). Maybe the site you’re using has converted it to malware?
These are verified repackers, they use ads in the installer, but ads can be turned off by unchecking the box before starting the installation.
@cmmok, i can confirm. on my virtual machine all sorts of odd behavior resulted after installing the portable version. the verified packers mean nothing especially when they have gone to the dark side.
