Path Finder review

PathFinder is an alternative to the standard Finder and provides users with features such as full keyboard navigation, built-in FTP client, tabbed documents, custom folder view, easy search and flexible file selection

Pathfinder’s interface looks very familiar: Same folders as in Finder, just with Safari-style tabs and more buttons added. The navigation is the same as in Finder, but you can still use additional navigation elements, such as tabs or links. Finder has incorporated the best elements of the browser, so if you’ve used Finder and Safari before, you’ll feel right at home with Finder.

Tabs are probably the best graphical element in apps, and our file manager is no exception. Pathfinder’s tabs are very easy to use. Not only can you always see your open folders and easily switch between them, but you can also drag and drop files between tabs with ease.

Another great feature are the tab groups, which are essentially separate workspaces with customizability. This is extremely useful if, for example, you’re working on a project and need quick access to all relevant folders, apps, and downloads. Tab groups store the folders that were last opened.
