Audirvana
Audirvana is a powerful audiophile player with the widest range of features. The player understands all existing audio formats: AIFF, WAVE, AAC, MP3, FLAC, Monkey Audio APE, WavPack, Apple Lossless, DSD (DSDIFF including DST, DSF, and SACD ISO). For supported DACs, the signal is output directly to the DSD, while for the rest of the DACs, a high quality PCM conversion will be used. As DSDs become more and more popular, support for this format at the interface level with the DAC is a good step. Audirvana also supports multi-channel music if you have the appropriate hardware.
Sampling rate conversion is done with the Sound Forge iZotope 64-Bit SRC. In short, it’s a hybrid low-pass filter that ensures that the quality of the digital audio is preserved when you convert it from one sample rate to another.
