Find any file, word, text string, pattern, duplicate and anything else you need on your hard drive, in shared and network folders, on removable disks or even on a remote FTP / SFTP server.
Can be used to search for text in files anywhere. You can also search for code snippets.
UltraFinder also allows you to find duplicates and eliminate or delete duplicates, saving hard drive space.
There are two quick and easy-to-use modes for searching – file search and duplicate search.
File search methods:
- File search by content or name (partial or full)
- Search file content or filenames using regular expressions (Perl, Unix and UltraEdit native)
- Search network or FTP locations
- Specify folders, entire disks, or even specific files as search targets
- Filter subdirectories, filenames and file extensions to exclude them from your search
- Search based on exact or partial word matches
- Search for case-sensitive matches
- Negative search (find files that do not match)
- Search text in PDF files
- Find text in Word documents (.doc / .docx)
Duplicate search methods;
- Search folders or entire disks
- Search duplicates by different criteria – content, title, date, size
- Configure duplicate search with different criteria settings (file dates, file sizes, etc.)
- Ignore special case files, such as 0-byte files, system / hidden files, recycle garbage can files, etc.
- Set inclusion / exclusion filters for files and folders
- Powerful search using regular expressions (Perl, Unix or native)
- Operations with found duplicates (rename, delete, move, open)
