ES Explorer allows users to perform standard operations with files and folders: select, copy, move, create, delete, cut, search, view properties, and more. You can open text, audio, and video files directly from the program, and choose whether to display the file structure in tiles or in a list. All files can be sent in various ways – Bluetooth, email, Skype, SMS/MMS, and others are among the options. There is a toolbar in the explorer that simplifies file management, but you can easily minimize it if you don’t need it.
The application has 5 tabs – PDA, LAN, FTP, Bluetooth (hidden by default) and Network. In the PDA tab, users can perform all file operations. In the LAN tab, you can create your own server or start scanning a local network. The FTP tab allows you to create a connection via FTP, FTPS, SFTP, or WEBDAV. The Bluetooth tab allows you to scan other devices and send files to other devices. In the “Network” tab, you can easily create a network in sugarsync, dropbox, skydrive, google drive, Ubuntu, etc. In the ES Explorer control panel, users can view a list of installed system and user applications on their Android device, sort applications alphabetically, back them up, delete or restore them. Another feature worth mentioning is the memory card analyzer, which shows you the total, used, and free memory space.
A huge list of ES Explorer options is a separate plus. It is possible to fully customize the application – there is a choice of background color, design theme, wallpaper, choice of the type of display of the file and folder structure, resizing icons, sorting files by various filters, etc. If you don’t want someone else to use the application for their own purposes, you should set a password to access ES Explorer.
